Privacy tools that stay on your computer

MetaStripper combines careful metadata removal with practical archive and file-security workflows for daily desktop use.

01Metadata

Deep metadata removal

Removes EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, comments, and format-specific metadata from supported images.

02JPEG

Byte-level JPEG hard strip

A dedicated JPEG path removes privacy-bearing segments without treating a simple re-save as proof of safety.

03Verification

Every output is checked

Processed files are re-opened and validated. A failed check is reported as a failure, never as a clean result.

04Archives

ZIP and RAR input

Add supported images from ZIP or unencrypted RAR/RAR5 archives without uploading the archive or its contents.

05Archives

Protected result archives

Package successful outputs as a standard ZIP or a password-protected authenticated .msarchive container.

06Encryption

Encrypt any local file

Protect any file in an authenticated .msenc container and restore it only after password and integrity verification.

07Batch

Batch, reports, and CLI

Process folders, export TXT, JSON, or PDF reports, and use the licensed CLI for repeatable automation.

08Recovery

Safe overwrite workflow

Optional overwrite mode requires a recoverable backup and uses controlled replacement behavior.

09Rendering

Orientation and color handling

Visible orientation is preserved while privacy metadata is removed; color profile handling remains explicit.

Three private workflows, one desktop tool

Choose the job you need without moving sensitive files into a browser or cloud-processing queue.

01

Image privacy

Clean before you share

Inspect risky fields, choose Safe or Full removal, and review a verified result for every image.

  • GPS, EXIF, XMP, IPTC, and comments
  • Safe and Full removal modes
  • Clear cleaned, skipped, and failed outcomes
02

Archives

Move private batches in and out

Bring supported images in from local archives and package only successful outputs when the batch finishes.

  • ZIP and unencrypted RAR/RAR5 input
  • Standard ZIP result archives
  • Password-protected .msarchive output
03

File security

Encrypt files with authenticated containers

Protect arbitrary local files with modern authenticated encryption and deliberate overwrite safeguards.

  • AES-256-GCM authentication
  • Argon2id password-derived keys
  • No password recovery by design

The files remain yours

A privacy utility should not require surrendering the files it protects.

  • Image pixels and source files are processed on the local computer.
  • No image upload service is part of the desktop workflow.
  • The application contains no advertising or usage telemetry.
  • Online services are limited to account, trial, license, activation, and purchase operations.

Straight prices, permanent licenses

Start with a restricted three-day trial. Purchase once when MetaStripper fits your workflow; there is no monthly desktop subscription.

The signed trial lasts three days and accepts up to 10 images per queue. Archives, encryption, CLI, PDF export, watermarks, and overwrite-originals remain locked. After the trial expires, all processing is locked until a paid license is activated.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Paddle calculates any required tax at checkout and acts as merchant of record for the purchase.

Before you install

Does MetaStripper upload my photos?

No. Image processing runs locally. Account and activation requests do not contain your image files.

Is the license a subscription?

No. Personal and Family are one-time desktop license purchases. Paddle may still display taxes required for your location.

What happens after the trial?

The application stops processing files until a paid license is activated. Your original images are not changed by the trial ending.

Can it open archives?

Yes. MetaStripper imports supported images from ZIP and unencrypted RAR/RAR5 archives. Password-protected ZIP input is supported; encrypted RAR input is intentionally rejected.

How is file encryption protected?

MetaStripper uses AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption with an Argon2id password-derived key. Passwords are not stored, and there is no password recovery.

Which languages and platforms are available?

The desktop interface currently includes 42 languages. The first commercial build targets 64-bit Windows; other platforms are future work and are not included promises.
